5 Animals that are Born as Fat Animal

The image of fat creatures was apparently always stamped as an evil and unhealthy circumstances. Human and animal has becomes the victim of overweight – a lot of time, people would do anything to make their animal back to the normal size they used to be. But, do you know that fat isn’t always bad? Furthermore, do you ever know that at some point, there are some creatures out there, that designed and created in the first place to become a fat animal?

I would tell you 5 animals that are born as fat animal, which I bet you would know some of them. The wildlife is much different than our normal life. That is one important fact that make difference between the wild animal and pet animal. That is quite normal when you concern about your pet if they do had obesity, because our pet was not meant to be a fat animal – and it’s clearly unhealthy. However, it’s dramatically different with the wildlife.

Those wild animals which lived in the wildlife – their body was created to adjust with the environment surround them. The polar bear had thick fur to protect them from the cold temperature in Arctic. The lion skin was dry and uncovered by fur because mainly they lived in savanna and other open-wood. The fat for some animals is the armor to protect themselves from the situation and condition – and it’s nature gift for them. However, let’s just cut unnecessary words, and just jump to our topic: 5 animals that are born as fat animal!

1. Elephant Seal

The first animal on our list was elephant seal. Elephant seal was known as a large marine mammal. There are two types of elephant seals that you could found based by the location of their habitat: the southern elephant seal and the northern elephant seal. Physically, the southern elephant seal is bigger than its relative, the northern. The main habitat of the northern elephant seal was in the Pacific coast, such: Canada, Mexico, and U.S.A; then the southern could be found mainly in South Georgia, South Hemisphere, the coast of New Zealand, Argentina, and Macquarie Island.

The southern elephant seal male typically size is about 5 meters, with the weight of 3,000 kg; and the female southern is about 3 meters, with the weight of 900 kg. The northern seal ordinarily size is about 4.3 to 4.5 meters, with the weight approximately 2,500 kg. That is huge, isn’t it, pal?

2. Hippopotamus

The next animal that I would discuss is the hippopotamus. Hippo was the iconic animal that we know has a bigger fat belly that loved soak in the water. One of the Madagascar movie icon is an herbivorous, and classified as semi-aquatic mammal. The other fact about hippo is, this animal apparently was the third-largest  and one of the heaviest mammal’s land type of animal. Hippo loved the mangrove swamps, lakes, and rivers – during the day – hot day – hippo would stay inside the water for remain cool.

The hippo’s body was hairless, they own torsos barrel look-shaped, and columnar large legs. The adult average hippo size is about 1,500 kg for male, and female is about 1,300 kg of weight. These are the list of places where you could see this creature: Kenya and Tanzania, Uganda, Republic of Kongo, Sudan, and others North Africa countries. Now day, hippo was included to the list of vulnerable species of IUCN.

3. Camel

This desert and savanna native animal is included in the list of fat animal in the world. The most famous and attractive camel’s body part, perhaps was the humps in their back. As we know, camel was used by the resident as the transportation in the desert. All thanks to their ability of saving the a lot of water in their humps. The main distribution of camel mostly in middle east, horn of Africa, and several countries in central Asia.

There are three species of camel that still exist until now: the Bactrian camel that has two humps in their back; dromedary which is regular camel (one hump); and the critically endangered species, the wild Bactrian camel. For the domestic people, camel not only become the attraction of tourist and transportation – it also become a livestock, which produce the milk and take for their meat. An adult average camel size is about 1.85 meters of high, and approximate about 2.15 meters from the shoulder to the hump. The weight is about 300 to 600 kg.

4. Brown Bear

One of my favorite animal was joining the club of the naturally fat animals. The adorable yet fierce brown bear. The adult brown bear could reach the length (from head to body) about 1.4 to 2.8 meters; the shoulder’s height approximate is about 70 to 153 cm; they do have tails, but the tails is relatively short, approximate about 22 cm. The average body weight of adult brown bear is about 180 kg for male, and 135 kg for the female. The biggest record that could ever reported was about 200 kg for the male, and 153 for female.

Brown bear actually is quite dangerous for human. The mauled cases of bear attack – the high percentage was dominated by the brown and the black bear. The high numbers of victims, apparently make the authorities of the brown bear habitat warn and teach people of the guideline to survive from the strike of the brown bear. However, this animal could be found in many countries, such: North America, Canada, United States, Mexico, Europe, South Asia, East Asia, and the Sahara desert.

5. Blue Whale

The last but not least, the largest animal of the earth that could ever exist – let’s give a big shout to the blue whale! The gigantic animal that would amaze you, and luckily, was one of benign animal. The size of the blue whale is spectacular; this mammal could grow until 29.9 meters and the maximum recorded weight was about 173 tonnes.

Unfortunately, there are irresponsibility people that hunt down this amazing creature, and now day, the estimate populations of blue whales worldwide was about 10,000 to 25,000 – had been classified to the red-list of IUCN. Blue whales mostly would be found in North Atlantic, North Pacific, Northern Indian Ocean, and Southern Hemisphere.
